General Information Regarding Data Protection
The protection of your privacy while processing personal data, as well as the security of all business data, are important issues for us which are taken into account by our business processes.
We adhere to the stipulations established by data protection law, and take the protection of your personal data seriously. For this reason, we only collect and process as much personal data as is technically necessary, for example for order processing.
However, our websites include links to other websites for whose content we are unable to accept any responsibility. We thus recommend that upon accessing such websites you carefully examine their data protection policies.

Data Collection and Processing
Each visit to our website, as well as retrieval of stored data files, is automatically recorded to a report. The storage of this information is used for internal, system-related and statistical purposes, optimisation of website content and functions, and improved user-friendliness. Specifically, the following data are recorded:

• Installed plug-Ins
• Utilised operating system
• Domain and IP address of the querying computer
• Time, duration and sequence of accessed pages
• Attempts to access individual pages and data files aborted by the local system
No personal data are collected automatically, and automatically collected data cannot be matched up to any specific persons by the employees of our company. These data are not merged with data from any other sources.
We use this information exclusively for the purpose of analysing and optimising the appeal of the contents and functions made available by our website. This information is collected by means of so-called cookies, and active components such as Java Script.

In the pages that follow, it sometimes becomes necessary to request company and/or personal data from you, in order to be able to provide you with the desired services and information regarding our events. Of course we are obligated to suitably protect data within our system submitted by yourself in accordance with applicable legislation. We want you to be able to count on responsible, confidential treatment of your data.
In general, we use the personal data submitted by yourself to respond to your enquiries, process your orders and provide you with access to certain information and offerings. In particular, data collection, processing and use serves the purposes of managing the respective business process, providing information, advertising our events, market research and opinion polling, as well as service offerings related to our events.
Our service providers have also been incorporated into our data protection concept, who require data provided by you under certain circumstances in order to be able to fill orders to your complete satisfaction. Personal data are only made use of or transmitted for the purposes specified herein, or for purposes which are expressly disclosed for data collection occurring at any later point in time.
In some cases, data are forwarded to an individually selected partner company, thus allowing for the transmission of an individualised quotation. You can prohibit any forwarding of your data in writing at any time, in which case no further transmission of your data to third parties will take place.
Newsletter and Information Mailings
If you would like to receive the newsletter offered by our company, you will have to provide us with a valid e-mail address, as well as information which makes it possible to determine that you are the rightful owner of the specified e-mail address, or that the owner agrees to receive the newsletter. No further data are collected to this end.
You can withdraw your consent to the storage and use of your data and e-mail address by e-mail at any time without providing any reasons for your decision.
Personal Data for Online Orders
When you use our online ordering system, we receive data from you which are necessary to process your order and render the agreed upon services. The data fields by means of which the necessary data are collected are always identified with an asterisk (*).
Requests for additional, voluntary data, for example with regard to special technical interests, serve the purpose of being able to offer you further services which are tailored to your specific needs. Amongst other things, this makes it possible for us to plan your trade fair visit, or to organise a trouble-free trade fair presentation for your company.
Upon opening a customer account, you consent to the storage of basic data to a customer database (name, address, e-mail address, phone number, fax number and customer number), as well as bank account details by means of separate consent (name of bank, sort code and account number). In this way, you’re able to log on with your user name and password for future orders, without having to re-enter your data.
Encrypting procedures are used in order to assure secure transmission of data submitted by yourself. This means that communication between your browser and our ordering system is illegible for other Internet users.
Information and Exclusion Rights
Your interests warranting protection are taken into account in accordance with applicable legal stipulations. You have the right to demand information regarding your stored personal data, their origin and their recipients at any time by means of written request, free of charge, as well as the right to have such data locked or deleted.
With the exception of legally required data storage for business processes, you can also exclude the storage of your data for any other purposes at any time. Exclusion is not possible if you make use of admission coupons. In this case, you can purchase a non-personalised admission ticket at the box office if you prefer.
Data Retention Stipulations
The legislators have enacted numerous stipulations regarding deletion deadlines for stored data. Upon expiration of these deadlines, the respective data are routinely deleted. Data which are not subject to these regulations are deleted when they are no longer usable for their intended purpose. In order to assure that any exclusion of the use of collected personal data for commercial purposes can be enforced, the data of the person exercising his or her right to exclusion must be continuously maintained in a locked data list.
